This news and photo suddenly started trending in social media. Our team enquired about this violence news and we found this news is approx 4.5 years from August 2012. Lets first describe the complete news.
After prayers at Tilewali Masjid in Chowk area , the mob, armed with sticks, rods and daggers, went on the rampage for two hours as it marched to the Vidhan Sabha, about five km away. The police made no attempt to disperse them.
The protest was organised by the Lucknow unit of Jamiat-Ulama-i-Hind (Mehmood Madni faction), but its patron Maulana Jahangir Aleem Qasmi denied his organisation had anything to do with the violence.
The mob first attacked press photographers who had gone to the mosque to cover the namaz on the last Friday of Ramzan. They then marched to the Buddha Park in Daliganj area and vandalised it. It attacked passersby and damaged vehicles and shops randomly while marching to the Vidhan Sabha.
More than 20 photographers were beaten up, their cameras snatched and broken, and vehicles damaged near Parivartan Chowk in Hazratganj area. Two of the photographers, Syed Zaidi and Jitendra Pandey, were seriously hurt.
The mob hurled stones at the shops in Hazratganj market, forcing the shopkeepers pull down shutters.
There are some instances of this feature photo we found in Myanmar riots but again the sources are not trustable enough to get confirmation and more sources are pointing towards violence in UP only. One more reason we found this news trending in people again and asking questions to Mayawati about this news and like where were you when this happend as Lord Budha is preached by Dalit community and as UP Elections are near people are asking questions about vote bank politics and whom she actually supports.
As an aware citizen we should never trust blindly on any news in social media and should check at 1 or 2 sources before taking any action.
